Finally got out to give the new Boosted Board extended range battery a go! Even with the added weight and slight height adjustment, it still feels great. 👍
Great Apple Store Genius Bar experience today!
Problem
- iPhone X: Couldn’t update / restore / activate phone. I have had the phone since launch.
- Second malfunctioning key on MacBook Pro (down arrow this time).
Diagnosis:
- Turned out to be a hardware issue causing cascading issues. The Apple Pay sensor failed.
- The key was failing.
Resolution:
- Replaced iPhone X with new iPhone X.
- Replaced the down arrow key.
Both problems are 100% solved and it was in record time! I wasn’t in there for much more than 40 min. 😃

Where is my hotel? Ask Siri!
If you travel at all, this little tip may prove useful to you. No matter where you go, it can be hard to remember how to get back to your hotel after you have gone out for meetings or to scout for food, drinks, entertainment, etc.
Getting back to your hotel when traveling.
Try this:
- Setup a new address in your personal contact card
- Give the address a custom name of “Hotel”
- Enter your hotel address in this new address field
Now when you need to get back to your hotel, ask Siri “Give me directions to my hotel”.
Boom, your phone opens up the navigation route and begins routing!
Haven’t tried it yet, but it looks like a very nice (and quick) markdown app with live preview.
