Symptom: After updating to macOS 13, any of your apps that used accessibility privilege in macOS prior to updating says it needs accessibility access. You go to accessibility in system settings and the menu is simply empty and you cannot add any apps.

If the following do not help:

  1. Reboot
  2. Shutdown

Try this:

  1. Reboot into Safe Mode
  2. All previous accessibility items from pre-update are there and functioning.
  3. Restart
  4. Your accessibility items are now functioning. You may need to toggle some of them off/on.

Should be back in business.

🤞 I hope this system is the only one in the world that experiences this, but I am afraid that seems unlikely. (it was all good on MacBook Pro, but not on iMac)
